In 1982 we invented automatic timing solutions for the worldwide RC community, and since then we kept improving it with the RC2 and RC3 timing platforms. Based on feedback of the race community, we bring an entirely new platform to further enhance your race experience: RC4.
 
The RC4 timing platform includes:
 
An enriched communication protocol, which offers a sea of new possibilities for measuring additional racing data
A new series of super small and light transponders, based on a complete redesign
A new timing tem with better detection and more data for clubs
 
The MYLAPS RC4 Hybrid Transponder is available now. It has many great features:

For the RC4 Transponder a new platform, along with the new RC4 decoder, has been developed. Currently it is undergoing rigorous field tests, and we expect to launch the new decoder early 2011.
 
The RC4 platform is based on an entirely new communication protocol for sending over data from your transponder to the timing tem installed at the track. The current MYLAPS RC3 (previously AMBrc) protocol only allows a transponder to send over your unique transponder ID. With the new RC4 protocol, a transponder is able to send over much more data, including:
 
Temperature: the ambient temperature of your transponder
Voltage: the supply voltage of your transponder 
Car ID: the Car ID allows you to use multiple transponders that share the same unique Transponder ID, but are tagged with different Car IDs
Double hit rates: the RC4 protocol generates more hits per seconds, resulting in even more accurate results
